General Statement of Capabilities
Hooks & Associates, Inc. can provide software development using the latest tools from Microsoft Corp. Applications can be developed using Visual C++, Visual Basic, Excel, Access and SQL Server. Operating systems include Microsoft Windows 95/98, NT4, Win2K and XP. H&A can also provide development for a wide variety of measurement and control equipment including Allen Bradley, RTP, Fluke, National Instruments, Greyhill, PLCdirect, Yokogawa, WAGO and many others. Almost all applications developed by H&A support a client/server model running over networks using TCP/IP and OPC methods.
Hooks & Associates, Inc. also provides turn-key systems utilizing many types of hardware including but not limited to Allen Bradley, RTP, Fluke, Yokogawa, National Instruments, GE Fanuc, Grayhill, WAGO, and Automationdirect.
Shop capabilities include machined and turned parts, sheet metal fabrication, electrical/mechanical assemblies and pneumatic/hydraulic equipment. In house tooling includes mills, lathes, welding equipment and other various tools used for general construction.
Refrigeration Test System
Hooks and Associates, Inc. (H&A) provides engineering services required for the complete integration of necessary control systems to control test cells allowing products to be tested to company and/or government specifications. Additionally, the system is also capable of supporting engineering research and design in the manufacturing industry. Submit an Environmental Chamber Application/Questionnaire and a RTS Questionnaire for our engineers to evaluate and begin the quotation process.

Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning Test System
H&A provides complete integration of control systems for controlling conditions in test cells (psychrometric rooms) for testing HVAC systems. Systems include the use of PLC's for room control and PC's for actual test control and to provide a graphical user interface using H&A's in-house developed Custom Test Software. Submit an Environmental Chamber Application/Questionnaire for a Project Manager to evaluate and begin the quotation process.
Small Engine Test Stands
Design services are provided for the complete design and integration of your control systems for testing small engines. This includes the use of an adapted version of the RTS software with test procedures written per customer engineering requirements. This system enables small engine manufacturer's to produce documentation and reports for receiving approval by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).
Process Control Support Systems
Here at H&A we have several experienced system designers that provide complete development and implementation of process control systems.. Systems are typically controlled by using either PLC's or PC's or possibly both. We have primarily developed systems utilizing Allen Bradley, Wago, Automation Direct and Cubloc PLC's.
